Carina Lewis is a writer, poet, and singer-songwriter based in Washington State. Her work lives at the intersection of grief, embodiment, love, and truth, exploring the interior landscapes shaped by loss, devotion, memory, and becoming.
She is the author of Naked Grief, a published poetry collection that traces the terrain of mourning with clarity and restraint. Her writing is lyrical and unflinching, attentive to what remains after rupture rather than what is resolved. Future poetry collections - Rubble, Bruise Cloud, and Tumble - continue this exploration of grief, identity, and relationship, and are currently in progress.
Music has been central to Carina’s creative life for over two decades. As a singer-songwriter, her work blends soul, R&B, and jazz with stripped-down songwriting, alongside electronic and atmospheric elements. Her voice is often described as deep, intimate, and emotionally direct. Whether sung or written, her work returns again and again to the body, the inner life, and the spaces where language is both necessary and insufficient.
Family, place, and long attention to relationship have profoundly shaped Carina’s work. These influences appear not as explanation, but as texture - informing the patience, intimacy, and emotional precision that run through her writing and music.
Carina lives and works in Washington State, where she writes, records, and publishes her work independently.
